Northeastern Oklahoma Fishing Report Part 1

Birch: April 3. Elevation normal, water upper 50s and clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Channel catfish good on chicken liver and cut bait. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 8-12 ft. around structure. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Osage County.

Carl Blackwell: April 4. Elevation 6 ft. below normal, water 58 and muddy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8 ft. Saugeye fair trolling crankbaits. Catfish fair on cut bait. Report submitted by Jon Cunningham, game warden stationed in Payne County.

Copan: April 5. Elevation normal, water clear. Crappie good on minnows at 8-12 ft. in the lake and at 4-6 ft. in the creeks feeding into the lake. Channel catfish fair on worms on bottom. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.

Eucha: April 6. Elevation 2 ft. below normal, water 57 and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10-12 ft. around brush and structure. Largemouth bass fair on jerk baits and spinnerbaits. Catfish fair on limb lines and trotlines baited with cut shad. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

Hudson: April 4. Elevation normal, water 50. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits and jerk baits. White bass fair to good on small lures and minnows. Crappie good at 3-6 ft. around brush piles. Paddlefish fair to good in the upper end. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.

Hulah: April 5. Elevation normal, water clear. Crappie good on minnows at 6-10 ft. near structure. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.
