Heading into the final day of the Costa FLW Series Southwestern division event presented by Lowrance on Fort Gibson, the story so far has been leaderboard movement. Though the lake has been a bit stingy, catching five or six of the right fish has let some pros move up a long way. Remaining consistent, Derek Fulps has edged out into the lead, going from fourth to first, but he's got a pair of Walmart FLW Tour pros hot on his heels.

Charlie Apperson of Jay, Okla., caught a 5-bass limit that weighed exactly 19 pounds to lead day one of the Costa FLW Series Southwestern Division event presented by Lowrance on Fort Gibson Lake. Apperson says he got off to a good start with two early fish, but then had to grind for a limit the rest of the day.

Fort Gibson might be small, but its size allows anglers a diverse game plan. You're not necessarily locked into one area, so a change of pace or scenery is never out of reach.

The Bryan College duo of Connor Cohran of Dalton, Georgia, and Cole Sands, of Calhoun, Tennessee, won the FLW College Fishing Southeastern Conference event at Lake Chickamauga Saturday with five bass weighing 16 pounds, 3 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and qualified the team for the 2017 FLW College Fishing National Championship.
