Now that the 2016 Walmart FLW Tour has wrapped up and the Angler of the Year race is final, the full 50-angler roster for the 2016 Forrest Wood Cup is set. The Cup, which is presented by Walmart, will take place at Wheeler Lake Aug. 4-7. Its roster is made up of the top anglers from all of FLW's tournament circuits plus The Bass Federation national champion.

For the third time in his professional fishing career, Scott Martin has finished atop the standings in a Walmart FLW Tour event on Lake Champlain. Martin was crowned the champion Sunday afternoon at the final weigh-in of the 2016 FLW Tour season finale at Champlain, which was presented by General Tire, after weighing in a 16-pound limit. His four-day total was 74-10. Martin bested runner-up Jason Meninger by 1 pound.

Despite mechanical challenges early in the morning on day three, Scott Martin still leads the Walmart FLW Tour event presented by General Tire on Lake Champlain. However, Martin now has a new challenge arising: a serious threat to what would be his third FLW Tour win on Lake Champlain in the form of Ticonderoga-bound pros who moved a little closer to Martin's top spot on Saturday.

Despite some mechanical troubles and a tough largemouth bite, Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., still managed 16 pounds, 5 ounces to bring his total up to 58 pounds, 10 ounces. Now, he's taking a 2-pound, 5-ounce lead over Bryan Schmitt into the final day of the Walmart FLW Tour presented by General Tire on Lake Champlain.

Out of a huge class of 28 new Walmart FLW Tour anglers, Chris Johnston came out on top as the 2016 Rookie of the Year. He was recognized with the ROY trophy at Friday's day-two weigh-in at the Walmart FLW Tour finale on Lake Champlain. He currently is in third place and will fish against the top 20 anglers on Saturday.
Day two of the Walmart FLW Tour event presented by General Tire on Lake Champlain was calm and slick compared to day one's breezy conditions. As a result, leader Scott Martin had to fall back on some smallmouths to subsidize his largemouth plan. The calm conditions gave the smallmouth specialists premium opportunity to hunt bedding fish as much as 15 deep with their eyes. Yet, largemouths continue to be a big factor in four of the top five pros' limits. Here is a closer look at how second through fifth fared.
In just five years as a co-angler on the Walmart FLW Tour, Bryan New of Belmont, N.C., has won a Tour event, the Forrest Wood Cup and Co-angler of the Year, the latter coming Friday afternoon after New finished 12th at Lake Champlain in the 2016 Tour finale. Along with the COY trophy, New takes home a Ranger Z518C with a 200-hp outboard, and he earns the right to fish as a pro in the new Walmart FLW Invitational tournaments this fall.
With 103 events fished with FLW and seven years on the Walmart FLW Tour as a pro, Al Gagliarducci has given himself plenty of chances to see a win. This week, fishing as a co-angler in the Walmart FLW tour event presented by General Tire on Lake Champlain, the West Suffield, Conn., native finally got a win with a total of 33 pounds, 11 ounces of smallmouths over two days.
