Wendlandt Surges Ahead

Day three of the Walmart FLW Tour presented by Evinrude and hosted by the Anderson Convention & Visitors Bureau was a bit of a slugfest and Clark Wendlandt of Leander, Texas, came out on top. Rising from fifth on the strength of a 19-9 bag, Wendlandt will roll into the final day with a 59-9 total and a 1-5 lead over second place pro John Cox of DeBary, Fla., who has 51-4.

Gamecocks Go Back-to-Back

Hampton Anderson and Chris Blanchette of USC brought in 13 pounds, 4 ounces today to win the 2016 FLW College Fishing National Championship on Lake Keowee. This marks the second consecutive year that a member of the Gamecocks' bass fishing team has worn the FLW College Fishing crown.

Day two of the Walmart FLW Tour presented by Evinrude and hosted by the Anderson Convention & Visitors Bureau was another sight-fishing catchfest for many and John Cox came out on top. On the strength of a 20-5 bag, the DeBary, Fla., pro moved up from 14th and has 37 pound, 1 ounce total.

Bass continued to flock to the shallows of Lake Hartwell to spawn on day two of the Walmart FLW Tour event presented by Evinrude and hosted by the Anderson Convention & Visitors Bureau. One reason such a big wave continues to come to the bank is the weather has been stupendous for days on end. Warm, sunny, windless conditions continue to heat the shallows and usher in amorous bass.

On one hand, I'm excited to make the first cut, but sitting in 13th, my goal now is to make the second cut and be in the top 10. That's my focus, and it certainly will be interesting.

Kavros Wacky-Rigs Way to Co-Angler Crown

Bed-fishing tournaments are rarely banner tournaments for co-anglers. While pros are fixated on working fish, co-anglers are often left casting out to presumably dead water. Chuck Kavros didn't see it that way.
