Knight’s 3-Bait Flipping System

October 13, 2015 1:50 pm
I'm pretty systematic in all my fishing, and I really only flip with three baits: a Strike King Rage Hawg, a Strike King Rodent and a Strike King Hack Attack Jig. I think those three baits will cover the entire season and will catch big ones.

An Unexpected Gift

What a year it has been! As I begin my very first blog post, I am thankful, humbled and extremely proud to call myself a breast cancer survivor. Wake Baits for Fickle Fall Bass

1:00 pm
Sometimes fish just don't want to break the surface to get a lure, but will go after it when it's just below the surface. Wake baits are great for such times. They have a reputation for being good lures for the spawn and post spawn, but I fish them a lot in the fall when the bass want something a little different.

Buck Wins Potomac River BFL Regional

October 11, 2015 4:00 pm
While it's not uncommon for tournament competitors to share water, for Pennsylvania boater Grae Buck, winning meant sharing water with unexpected outdoorsmen. Going into the last day Buck was in second place, nearly 3 pounds behind veteran Frank Ippoliti. But when he arrived on his best spot, duck hunters had already set up there.

Duvall Wins Sinclair BFL Regional

3:50 pm
Work obligations in North Carolina kept John Duvall of Madison, Ga., from practicing for the Walmart Bass Fishing League Regional on Lake Sinclair, held Oct. 8-10, but a straightforward approach of flipping and buzzing boat docks produced a winning three-day weight of 36 pounds, 13 ounces for Duvall. Duvall credits fellow competitor Kip Carter (who finished fourth) for helping him get on the right kind of fish without the opportunity to practice.

Focusing on Mom

October 9, 2015 9:25 am
Three weeks before Christmas in 2013, Johnson's mother, Betty Johnson, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. At what is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, Jason and his family were suddenly dealing with a reality that was far from wonderful.
