A lot of the guys in the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray caught fish by skipping buzzbaits under docks. A buzzbait isn't a lure that you would normally associate with skipping docks, but you can't argue with success. The only rule is that the flatter the bait, the better you can skip it - like a flat rock skips better than a round one.

Walmart BFL Tournament Preview

The 2014 Walmart BFL season continues with six two-day Super Tournaments on Sept. 6-7. The Bama Division will fish on Lake Eufaula, the Buckeye Division will compete on Indian Lake, the Cowboy Division will shoot it out on Sam Rayburn Reservoir, the Music City Division will take on Kentucky Lake, the Northeast Division will meet at the 1000 Islands and the Savannah River Division is headed to Clarks Hill Lake. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing in each event for top awards up to $11,000 and $4,500.

FLW College Fishing readies for New Melones

ANGELS CAMP, Calif. - FLW College Fishing is headed to the New Melones Lake Sept. 6 for the third and final regular-season tournament in the Western Conference. A field of up to 50 college teams will be competing for a top award of $2,000 and a berth in the Western Conference Invitational tournament.
