RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Dardanelle July 26 for the final regular-season stop in the Southern Conference. Up to 50 college teams will be competing for a top award of $2,000 and a berth in the Southern Conference Invitational tournament.

It's not often that a guy from the East Coast gets to go fishing with one of FLW's top pros from the West Coast, but that was the case for Matt Borrelli of Boston in late June when he shared a boat with Chevy pro Jay Yelas.
A lot of people use the Gambler Big Easy 5-inch swimbait for Texas-rigging and fishing in grass, and it's great for that, but more often than not I use it on ledges. It has a big profile and is my choice when bass are keying on gizzard shad. In fact, my favorite color used to be ghost shad, but there's a new color called Tennessee retriever that has more of that bluish-gray cast to it like big gizzard shad have.
The 2014 Walmart BFL season continues with two tournaments on Saturday, July 26. The Great Lakes Division will fish on the Mississippi River and the LBL Division is slated to compete on Kentucky and Barkley lakes. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing in each event for top awards up to $8,000 and $3,000 respectively.

In part one of this two-part recap of trends from the 2014 ICAST show, we shared our observations of the electronics, terminal tackle, accessories, line and clothing categories. In this installment, we're moving on to reels, rods, tackle storage and soft plastics.
The Bass Federation (TBF) and FLW, the world's largest tournament-fishing organization, have partnered to present the 2014 Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania State High School Fishing Championships in a tournament held on the Chesapeake Bay. The tournament will take place at Elk Neck State Park in North East, Md., and is open to any High School Fishing team in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The 2014 schedule represents a major expansion of High School Fishing by FLW and The Bass Federation due to an increased demand.
