Evinrude Reveals the G2

Nearly 11 years ago Evinrude released the E-TEC engine to the world. While some minor changes have been made over this time, the E-TEC has remained mostly the same. However, this past weekend at a media and dealer event in Milwaukee, Wis., Evinrude unveiled the newest generation of outboards - the E-TEC G2.

Jack Faulkner II of Jacksboro, Tenn., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League Volunteer Division tournament of 2014 on Cherokee Lake. For his victory, Faulkner earned $3,718.

Ell and Navies tie at on the Potomac River

Anthony Ell of Stanhope, N.J., and Omari Navies of Fort Washington, Md., each weighed a five-bass limit totaling 17 pounds even Saturday to tie for the win in the third Walmart Bass Fishing League Shenandoah Division tournament of 2014 on the Potomac River. For their victories, each earned $3,405, with Ell taking home an extra $300 in sponsor contingencies.

B.J. Davis of Mountain Home, Ark., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 12 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League Ozark Division tournament of 2014 on Lake Truman. For his victory, Davis earned $3,671.

Morrison adjusted to win on the Red River

Brooke Morrison of Youngsville , La., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 13 pounds, 12 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League Cowboy Division tournament of the season on the Red River. For his victory, Morrison earned $3,804

The Pickwick Puzzle

If you had told me I'd end up tied with Mark Rose in the Pickwick Lake Walmart FLW Tour event, I would have guessed there would also be a sudden-death fish-off on Monday morning. Pickwick in Florence, Ala., is a perfect place for a big tournament and coincidently one of my favorite lakes in the country. This time around, however, it didn't treat me so well. I finished 58th. Don't get me wrong, I'm always happy to finish in the big money, but this entire season has been way too stressful, as I've been on both sides of the bubble numerous times.
