California State Championship heads to Cal Delta

The Bass Federation (TBF) and FLW, the world's largest tournament-fishing organization, have partnered to present the 2014 California State High School Fishing Championship. The tournament will take place on the California Delta in Bethel Island, Calif., and is open to any High School Fishing team in the entire state of California. The 2014 schedule represents a major expansion of High School Fishing by FLW and The Bass Federation due to an increased demand.

Back in my band days, I was focused on playing music. I practiced every waking minute; I wanted to be the best. I breathed, ate and slept music. When I made even the slightest mistake I was extremely critical of myself and worked even harder to make sure it never happened again. There were very few things out of my control that could happen. I felt that if I worked extra hard, nothing could go wrong other than the occasional broken stick or string. I also had no distractions in those days.

The tournament will take place on Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C., and is open to any High School Fishing team in the entire state of North Carolina. Walmart BFL tournament preview

The 2014 Walmart BFL season continues with seven tournaments on Saturday, May 17. The Buckeye Division will start their season on Grand Lake St. Mary's, the Gator Division will take on Lake Toho, the Great Lakes Division season will commence on the Mississippi River, the LBL Division will fish Kentucky and Barkley lakes, the Okie Division will head to Lake Eufaula, the Ozark Division will fish Table Rock Lake and the Shenandoah Division is slated to compete on Kerr Lake. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing in each event for top awards up to $8,000 and $3,000 respectively.

Colorado/New Mexico State High School Championship on Lake Pueblo

FLW College Fishing heads to Lake Guntersville

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (May 7, 2014) - FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Guntersville May 17 for the third and final regular-season stop in the Southeastern Conference. Fifty college teams will be competing for a top award of $2,000 and a berth in the Southeastern Conference Invitational tournament.
