On lakes that get a lot of fishing pressure, it's a lot easier to catch fish on bed that you can't see. By that I mean that if you get close enough to a pressured fish to see it, it's probably already seen you. It's either going to move off, or not bite.

Numb fingers or the glazed look of a mental checkout - hard to say which is worse, but both can doom a fishing trip.

Eighty-four teams of the very best high school anglers in Texas competed at the 2014 Texas High School State Championship on Lake Lyndon B Johnson just outside of Marble Falls, Texas. The anglers came ready to fish and the fish were ready to bite. Big fish were caught and records were broken.
I've been lucky enough to have the support of family, friends and my employers over the last 10-plus years, which has allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a professional angler. It was with that same goal in mind that I joined the University of Minnesota bass team last year. I quickly realized that finishing even moderately well in nationally recognized college tournaments gave me more press than winning any number of regional tournaments back home.

MANNING, S.C., - The vast expanse of bass-holding cover in Santee Cooper is mindboggling. There are literally thousands and thousands of acres of flooded swamp, jammed pack with cypress trees, standing timber, grass, lily pads and anything else a bass might like to get around.
MANNING, S.C., -- Imagine catching nine bass that weigh 64 pounds, 7 ounces. Sound surreal? Sound impossible?
LAVONIA, Ga. - Brandon Cobb of Greenwood, S.C., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 18 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the second Walmart Bass Fishing League Savannah River Division tournament of 2014 on Lake Hartwell. For his victory, Cobb earned $6,807.
