MANY, La. - Now this is what the spawning season is supposed to look like. Sight-fishing specialist Russell Cecil hauled a massive stringer of bass weighing 29 pounds, 2 ounces to the scales and took over the lead on day two of the Rayovac FLW Series Texas Division tournament on Toledo Bend.

MANY, La. - Apparently, Toledo Bend's largemouth bass don't read fishing magazines, because if they did, they'd know that on warm March days with lots of sun and not a lot of wind they're supposed to be heavy into the bedding routine and snapping at anything that encroaches their space. My focus was just on trying to get a limit every single day I fished so I could do well.
MANY, La. - Toledo Bend enjoys a well-deserved reputation for quality and quantity in its bass populations, but this Bayou State powerhouse greets Rayovac FLW Series Texas Division anglers with a funky mood that'll likely deliver a polarizing blend of joy and heartbreak.
