TERRELL, N.C. - Larry Lehew of Charlotte, N.C., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday to win the first Walmart Bass Fishing League North Carolina Division tournament of 2014 on Lake Norman. For his victory, Lehew earned $7,096.
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Brandon Lee of Ratcliff, Ark., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 24 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday to win the first Walmart Bass Fishing League Arkie Division tournament of 2014 on Lake Dardanelle. For his victory, Lee earned $3,889.

Tournament bass fishing season is in full swing, even if the weather in most of the country may not feel like it. From now until mid-summer, culminating with ICAST in July and the Forrest Wood Cup in August, tackle companies across the industry will be launching their newest mouse traps - all guaranteed to catch more fish than the others.
The season has begun and Brett Hite has claimed the first victory of the year at Lake Okeechobee. Anglers are now looking to the next stop at Lake Hartwell. But more importantly, they've got their eye on the Forrest Wood Cup, the Super Bowl of bass fishing, and the sport's largest prize at $500,000, Aug. 14-17 at Lake Murray in Columbia, S.C.
Veteran Castrol pro Darrel Robertson has announced his candidacy for Oklahoma's District 2 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Republican. Robertson, 63, plans to continue fishing the Walmart FLW Tour at least through June 24, when the primary takes place.
