Smoke on the water

I just got back from the Rayovac FLW Series event on Lake Okeechobee. I'm still a little bitter about how I finished, but I guess I have to discuss both the good and the bad with my blog. I got there Sunday before the tournament and immediately thought the lake looked really good - the water level is up and everything looks healthy. Certain parts of the lake were crowded, but that's just the way the lake is - typical Okeechobee to me.

With the 2014 season rapidly approaching, FLW has announced the complete pro angler roster for the upcoming Walmart FLW Tour. During the kickoff event at Lake Okeechobee, FLW will pay out $4,000 down to 90th place. The season will culminate with the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup, slated for Columbia, S.C., Aug. 14-17.

Rayovac FLW Series heads for Sam Rayburn

JASPER, Texas - The Rayovac FLW Series is headed to Sam Rayburn Reservoir Jan. 23-25 for a tournament presented by Mercury when as many as 300 pros and co-anglers take to the water for the first of three stops in the Texas Division.
