GREENVILLE, Miss. - Joel Barber of Brandon, Miss., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 20 pounds, 7 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Mississippi Division event on Lake Ferguson. For his victory, Barber earned $3,641.
SHELBYVILLE, Ill. - James Wright of Paducah, Ky., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Illini Division event on Lake Shelbyville. For his victory, Wright earned $6,127.
MARBURY, Md. - The Shippensburg University team of Kevin Hollasch of Marriottsville, Md., and Hunter Chamberlin of Shippensburg, Pa., won the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference event on the Potomac River Saturday with a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 5 ounces. Shippensburg beat second-place Youngstown State University by 1 pound, 11 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference Invitational tournament.

MARBURY, Md. - The good thing about cold fronts is their predictability - you'll usually get some level of precipitation and a lot of wind with the approach and then the dreaded high pressure and bluebird skies on the back side. Mild as this week's weather system was, that's still the scenario that played for anglers fishing the FLW EverStart Series Northern Division tournament on the Potomac River.

MARBURY, Md. - Windier-than-expected conditions had much of the Potomac stirred and murky, but by the end of day one at the FLW EverStart Series Northern Division tournament, two things were clear: First, this tidal fishery was not in its most generous mood - at least in terms of quality bass. And second, this is anyone's game.
During the 2013 Forrest Wood Cup, slated to run Aug. 15-18 in Shreveport, La., a number of lucky bass-fishing fans will have the opportunity to win valuable prizes from FLW and its associated sponsors and partners.
MARBURY, Md. -Tuesday's weather system brought drenching rains and a sharp temperature drop the Potomac River, but EverStart Series Northern Division anglers should find increasing opportunity as stabilizing conditions allow the local bass to shake off Wednesday's moodiness.

Shaky heads and Texas rigs catch a lot of bass off ledges in the summer and even though they have some of the same components, they provide two totally different looks when they get in the water.

Until the 2013 FLW Tour season, most people following Barry Wilson of Birmingham, Ala., would have known him primarily as a BFL stalwart, a plucky angler from the Deep South who dutifully could be found on the aforementioned tournament trail from 1997 to 2012.
