LAKEVIEW, Ohio - Bob Logan of Waynesfield, Ohio, and Cody Seegar of Lewistown, Ohio, both weighed a five-bass limit totaling 11 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to tie for first place at the Walmart Bass Fishing League Buckeye Division event on Indian Lake. For their victory, Logan and Seegar each earned $3,116, with Logan also receiving a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus.
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. - Shawn Gordon of Russellville, Ark., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 12 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Arkie Division event on Greers Ferry Lake. For his victory, Gordon earned $3,545.

ROGERSVILLE, Ala. - Brian Merriman of Falkville, Ala., continues to lead the EverStart Series event on Wheeler Lake after day two, but he has his work cut out for him tomorrow if he plans on taking home his first EverStart trophy.

ROGERSVILLE, Ala. - If Wheeler Lake was an electric cord it would be a high voltage wire given the amount of current running through it right now. And current was the name of the game on Wheeler today.
During 2013, the EverStart Series has set up shop on a couple of the best lakes along the TVA chain at their premium times.

The 2013 Walmart BFL season continues with three tournaments on Saturday, May 18. The Great Lakes Division opens its season on the Mississippi River at La Crosse, the Shenandoah Division continues on Smith Mountain Lake and the Volunteer Division will hold an event on Douglas Lake. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing in each event for top awards up to $8,000 and $3,000 respectively.
In more and more lakes now there are good populations of smallmouths and largemouths, or spots and largemouths. In some lakes like Beaver, there's a pretty fair population of all three. That being the case, a fisherman needs to develop an understanding of the feeding preferences and likely hangouts of the different sorts of bass.

James Watson isn't a household name in professional bass fishing. At this point in his career, he's OK with that. But if the fourth-year pro from Waynesville, Mo., continues his current track, that will soon change.

FLORENCE, Ala. - After boating an incredible 33 pounds, 1 ounce on the first day of EverStart Series competition on Pickwick Lake, it appeared as though Randy Haynes of Counce, Tenn., was going to run away with the title. However, by the end of day two, Haynes was forced to watch his 5 1/2-pound lead melt all the way down to a mere 13 ounces. Now, with one day of fishing left in the tournament, everyone knew it was game on.
