Admittedly, we at FLWOutdoors.com have a pretty standard approach to covering bass tournaments. Following weigh-in, a story is posted each night that includes interviews from the top five pros. In general, this method works as fans are naturally drawn to those who are catching the heaviest stringers. Occasionally, the system fails to capture an interesting story. At Lake Eufaula, sixth-place finisher Kelley Jaye was that interesting story.

I'm right-handed and I cast with my right arm. But the first baitcasting reel I ever bought was a lefthander, and I taught myself to reel with my left hand. It made sense to me that it saved time and was a more efficient way to fish, rather than having to cast and then swap hands to work a bait.

Not just a swamp person

Perhaps the fiercest resident of the bayous of Texas and Louisiana is the alligator, that prehistoric predator so perfectly camouflaged in its swampy terrain. Many a man and gator have tangled, but none as famously as the cast of "Swamp People," the History Channel's popular program that follows hunters as they trap and kill monster-sized gators during Louisiana's short alligator-hunting season.

The 2013 Walmart BFL season continues with five tournaments on Saturday, June 1. The Buckeye Division holds its second event of their season on Mosquito Lake, the LBL Division continues on Kentucky/Barkley lakes, the Michigan Division opens on Burt/Mullett lakes, the Mountain Division continues on the Barren River and the Northeast Division returns to the Potomac River. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing in each event for top awards up to $8,000 and $3,000 respectively.
