ROGERS, Ark. - With this being the second day after a front, most people figured the bite would slip on Beaver. To degree that was the case with several of the top pros from day one failing to match their early success. But day two of the Walmart FLW Tour on Beaver Lake was highlighted with consistent catches, some big stringers and the Alabama rig.
Bluebird skies settled over Oklahoma's Grand Lake on day two of the 2013 Federation National Championship in Grove, Okla., as 14 TBF anglers advanced to Saturday's finals to battle it out for the national title.

ROGERS, Ark. - Most of the dock talk this morning hinted at the fact the fish would be chomping today. Most of the guys knew that as long as the wind and clouds hung around from the recent cold front that hit the area the fishing would be good. The lead changed hands throughout the weigh-in until a young rookie from Florida came out strong to lead the Walmart FLW Tour event on Beaver Lake.
PONCA CITY, Okla. - Steady showers over the first three days of practice left several TBF anglers without fish and without plans going into the 2013 Federation National Championship. However, on Thursday, Oklahoma's Grand Lake finally delivered as nearly 1,100 pounds of bass were caught with over 60 percent of the field catching five-bass limits.
ROGERS, Ark. - When planning for this event after the last Walmart FLW Tour stop on Smith Lake about a month ago, many pros were thinking a sight-fishing tournament could prevail this week. However, Mother Nature quickly changed that thought with cooler temperatures and plenty of rain. Considering Beaver was nearly 12 feet low a month ago, the lake now sits just a few feet below normal pool and, as such, the third event of the tour season should feature a solid prespawn bite.
